KTM Series Pumps
KTM Series regenerative turbine pumps maximize dissolution rates of gas into liquids and easily mix difficult liquid / liquid solutions making it an ideal pump for a variety of mixing applications. Clients using Nikuni's pumps have enjoyed the following benefits:
MAXIMUM PERFORMANCE MINIMAL ENERGY
KTM Pumps generate microbubbles / nanobubbles with an average diameter of 5 µm, much smaller and more densely packed than conventional systems. This allows a higher amount of air to be dissolved into the water flow using smaller pumps. Power consumption has been recorded as low as 1/3rd (See Dissolved Air Flotation Case Study) of the power consumption of conventional pumps: a dramatic reduction in running cost and CO2 output. TOP
Nikuni KTM Pump - Dissolved Air Flotation Case Study
Paper Manufacturer plant retrofitted DAF system with Nikuni's KTM50S3 Pump:
POWER CONSUMPTION REDUCED TO 1/3rd WITHOUT COMPROMISING PERFORMANCE
ELIMINATE EQUIPMENT
Immediately save on capital cost and plant space by eliminating the need for:
- Air compressors
- Large dissolving tanks
- Frustrating tank level control
- In-line static mixers
- Ejectors
- And replace large centrifugal pumps with the smaller KTM microbubble pump
Nikuni DAF systems require only 1/5th of the space of most conventional DAF systems. The KTM Series pumps suction in air at atmospheric pressure and do not require static mixing devices or long holding periods under pressure like conventional systems.
QUIET WORKPLACE AND ELIMINATE COMPRESSOR CONTAMINATION
By eliminating noisy air compressors and replacing large pumps with the smaller motor KTM your workplace atmosphere could become so quiet you might need an alarm clock! Contimination issues resulting from compressors, such as oil in the system, are also eliminated. TOP
EASY INSTALLATION AND RETROFIT
The KTM based system is simple to install saving on installation time and costs. Current systems can easily be retrofitted with the KTM pump and gain the benefits of Nikuni’s microbubbles without the need for changing tanks or other components. TOP
SIMPLIFIED CONTROL
Only three simple control points are required for the initial setup: discharge pressure, suction pressure, and air flow. After initial setup the system can be turned on and off producing consistent microbubbles without the need to adjust every time. By eliminating difficult water level and pressure balances skilled staff can be dedicated to more important roles. TOP
LOWER MAINTENANCE COST
With over 65 years in the business, Nikuni pumps and systems have a strong reputation as top quality and built to last. The simplified system also translates into simplified maintenance saving downtime and labor costs. TOP
WIDE RANGE OF SOLUTIONS
A vast lineup of sizes and styles allows for a unit or system that fits well with client production requirements. Eliminate the cost and energy inefficiencies of using oversized units. TOP
